About Dorish Maru College
| Dorish Maru College is the Divine Word seminary, located in Melbourne Australia. We are committed to train Divine Word Missionaries, for the service of the local Church and overseas. The seminary is under the patronage of Saint Joseph Freinademetz, the first Divine Word Missionary. Dorish Maru College is located on the campus of Yarra Theological Union. Currently we have seven seminarians from around the world (one is working at Santa Teresa Church, Via Alice Springs, Northern Territory) , all training for the priesthood. Besides studying specific courses for ordination, every student is involved in pastoral ministry in the city, mainly on weekends. This outreach to the needy is required of every student at the College. The students are also responsible for preparing liturgy, including daily Mass and morning and evening prayer. |
